Swedish Royal Family hosts state banquet for Singaporean President

The Swedish Royal Family hosted a state banquet at the Royal Palace in Stockholm to honor Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and his wife, Jane Ittogi Shanmugaratnam. The event marked the first state visit by a President of Singapore to Sweden and commemorated sixty years of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

During the banquet, members of the royal family showcased significant historical jewelry. Queen Silvia wore the Braganza Tiara, a piece with sentimental value linked to her Brazilian heritage. Crown Princess Victoria wore the diamond Laurel Wreath tiara, an early 20th-century piece, paired with a gown from the Swedish brand H&M Studio. Princess Madeleine attended the event in a red Safiyaa gown.
