Vimmerby Hockey falls 2–4 to AIK despite improved performance

Vimmerby Hockey suffered their third consecutive loss in Hockeyallsvenskan, falling 2–4 to AIK at VBO Arena. Despite the defeat, coach Eric Karlsson noted visible improvements in the team's performance compared to previous matches.

Karlsson highlighted that the team's duel play and competitive mentality were strong during the first period. However, the team struggled during the early stages of the second period, where AIK capitalized on long sequences of puck possession to extend their lead. Vimmerby managed to reduce the deficit to 2–1 through Max Karlsson and later to 4–2 via a power play goal by Hugo Lejon.

Looking ahead, Karlsson acknowledged AIK as a top contender in the league, noting their significant player budget advantage. He emphasized that Vimmerby must improve their puck movement in the offensive zone and develop more patience to move away from their current winless start to the season.
