Nora Lindahl and Wilma Svenson set records at Swedish Athletics Championships

At the Swedish Athletics Championships in Uppsala, 21‑year‑old sprinter Nora Lindahl broke a 45‑year‑old 100 m championship record, posting an official time of 11.19 seconds. She also captured gold in the 200 m with a 22.94 finish, narrowly missing her personal best. Wilma Svenson won the women’s 200 m final in 23.05 seconds, improving her own best and securing the title after a strong season.

Lindahl, a dual Swedish‑Finnish citizen, announced plans to transfer her allegiance to Finland from 1 January 2028. She and her manager have been negotiating a reduced waiting period with the World Athletics Federation, aiming to compete for Finland at the 2028 Summer Olympics. The move has drawn significant attention from Finnish athletics circles.
