Swedish Youth Athletics Championships Held in Sollentuna

The Junior Swedish Championships (JSM, U23) and the Youth Swedish Championships (USM, U16‑17) took place in Sollentuna from 31 July to 2 August 2026. The three‑day meet featured a deep field of national‑level athletes, many of whom are slated for the European U23 Championships. Live streams were provided by Friidrottskanalen.

Notable performances included Elna Wester winning the men’s 400 m in 52.63 seconds and Melwin Lycke Holm clearing 2.21 m in the high jump, both earning selection for the upcoming Birmingham European U23 meet. After their victories, the athletes said, “Väldigt skönt!”

Other highlights were Milo Enander’s double personal‑best in the triple jump and Nils Grufman’s win in the pole vault. Swedish Athletics Federation coach Kajsa Bergqvist confirmed the selections despite the athletes’ modest season bests earlier in the year.
