SWG Legends reports theft of game assets via AI tools

The fan-run MMORPG server SWG Legends has reported a significant data theft involving its proprietary content. According to the project’s official Discord, a Reddit moderator identified as Levarris allegedly used AI tools to decrypt game client files.

The stolen assets include exclusive items and missions created specifically for the server. While the developers confirmed that no player personal data was compromised, the theft has sparked internal controversy.

Following the incident, the accused individual made claims on Reddit regarding the server's leadership. The individual alleged that a server administrator, Reign, used a ‘honeypot’ method to acquire developer tools from a former Sony Online Entertainment employee and subsequently refused to share those resources with the rest of the community.
