SWI Group raises €800 million for transatlantic AI infrastructure
SWI Group has announced an €800 million capital increase from institutional investors to fund the expansion of its transatlantic AI computing infrastructure. The operation, conducted through the issuance of new ordinary shares, values the company at €6.1 billion.
The funds are intended to support the development of data centers and AI computing capabilities across Europe and the United States. Specific investments will target electrical infrastructure and computing deployments. This move facilitates the transformation of Genesis Digital Assets, a former Bitcoin miner, into an AI computing platform.
Since March 2026, the group has raised more than €1 billion in total equity. The capital increase is expected to strengthen the company's balance sheet, increase market liquidity, and bring the free float to approximately 20% of the total capital.
