Swimming destinations in the Balkans offer summer relief
Various swimming destinations in the Balkan region offer relief from summer heat, ranging from modern day clubs to historic large-scale facilities.
In Pančevo, Aquarelle provides an adult-only environment (ages 21+) designed to resemble a Mediterranean day club. The complex features a restaurant, palms, and organized events such as workshops and dinners, requiring reservations to maintain a calm atmosphere.
In Tjentište, located within Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Sutjeska National Park, sits one of the largest swimming pools in the Balkans and Europe. Constructed in the 1970s as part of a youth work action, the 16,000 square meter pool is fed by the Sutjeska River and operates on an overflow principle. It remains a popular site for visitors to the national park and the local Foča community.
