Swimming provides effective full-body training and weight management

Swimming serves as an effective full-body workout that can be adapted to various skill levels. For beginners, focusing on comfort and safety is more important than mastering complex techniques like crawl strokes. Starting with familiar styles, such as breaststroke, allows for the engagement of the arms, shoulders, legs, and core to build endurance and strength.

To maximize physical benefits, training sessions should ideally last between 30 and 45 minutes. While different styles offer varying levels of difficulty, freestyle (crawl) is noted as one of the most effective methods for engaging the entire body, including the legs, core, shoulders, and arms.

Expert swimmer Sarah Köhler emphasizes that swimming is a joint-friendly way to reduce weight, strengthen major muscle groups, and improve coordination, provided that correct technique is maintained throughout the duration of the exercise.
