Swiss Alps bunkers being built to house ultra-wealthy assets

A massive network of underground luxury vaults is being constructed deep within the Swiss Alps to protect the assets of the ultra-wealthy. Managed by Brünig Mega Safe AG under the leadership of Thomas Gasser, the project is located in the Brünig Pass near the village of Lungern.

The facility features approximately 20 private vaults carved more than 100 meters into solid rock. These vaults are designed to safeguard high-value items, including gold, fine art, vintage wine, and luxury vehicles like Ferraris, from threats such as criminal activity, drone attacks, and macroeconomic or environmental disasters.

Clients can secure these spaces through 99-year lease agreements, with costs starting at approximately 1 million Swiss francs (roughly $1.23 million USD). Notably, clients receive their own parcel number in the land register, allowing them to own the space and even mortgage the property. Construction began in early 2026, with the first phase of completion expected by 2028.
