Swiss art institutions announce upcoming 2026 cultural events

Several cultural events are scheduled for August and September 2026 in Switzerland.

Kunsttage Basel will take place from August 28 to August 30, 2026. The event involves approximately 70 institutions, including museums, galleries, and studios across Basel and Baselland, showcasing modern and contemporary art through a decentralized program designed to increase accessibility to the arts.

Kunsthaus Zürich will host an open house day on September 13, 2026, from 10:00 to 18:00. The event offers free admission to collections and exhibitions while providing public access to behind-the-scenes museum operations, such as restoration, technical services, art handling, and archival research.
