Swiss Comedy Awards 2026 honors Franz Hohler and Hazel Brugger

The 2026 Swiss Comedy Awards were held at the Bernhard Theater in Zurich, honoring both established figures and emerging talent. Writer and cabaret artist Franz Hohler received the Lifetime Award for his extensive body of work. Hazel Brugger won the audience award via a prior vote.

Other winners included Joël von Mutzenbecher in the Solo category for his program ‘Unboxed’, and the duo Lapsus (Peter Winkler and Christian Höhener) in the Ensemble category. The comedy influencer Wemmse was named best online artist, while Nathalie Frei received the ‘SRF 3 Best Talent Comedy’ newcomer award.

The event marks a transition in broadcasting; following previous announcements regarding financial and personnel measures, Swiss television broadcaster SRF will no longer broadcast the annual gala. Starting in 2026, the event is organized by the association HausKrieg in collaboration with the television station Swiss1.
