Swiss communities highlight local culture and engagement

Various communities in Switzerland are highlighting local engagement and cultural preservation through diverse initiatives.

In Bottmingen, the women's choir Melodiva is preparing for its annual concert, ‘It’s magic’, involving extensive choreography and vocal preparation. In Oberwil, a new initiative called ‘IG Vereine Oberwil’ is being established to support over 100 local clubs by providing assistance with organization, infrastructure, and public relations.

Therwil recently hosted the Baselbieter Sommergaudi at the Känelmatt 2 sports field, featuring musical performances and competitions that brought multiple generations together. Meanwhile, in Ettingen, the Cultural History Association is celebrating its 50th anniversary, working to preserve local history through the exhibition of tools, documents, and photographs at the Guggerhuus.
