Swiss cultural institutions receive awards and celebrate milestones

In Switzerland, several cultural institutions are receiving recognition or celebrating milestones. The Geneva-based concert hall cave12 has been awarded the 2026 Leenaards Cultural Prize. The award, which includes 30,000 francs, recognizes the venue's nearly four decades of dedication to experimental and contemporary sound creation. Managed by Marion Innocenzi and Fernando Sixto, cave12 hosts over 100 concerts annually and operates its own music label.

Meanwhile, the Association of Museums of Lausanne and Pully is celebrating the 25th anniversary of La Nuit des Musées. To mark the occasion, a pop-up cultural space has opened in an old police station on rue du Petit-Chêne in Lausanne. The exhibition features a retrospective of the event's visual identity, including posters from the previous 24 editions and various collector's items, running until September 26, 2026.
