Swiss energy storage group Leclanché seeks deadline extension for annual report amid funding talks

Swiss energy storage company Leclanché has asked SIX Exchange Regulation (SER) for another extension to publish its annual results, stating it cannot yet demonstrate the ability to operate as a going concern through at least June 2027. The request follows a temporary exemption granted in June after SER suspended trading of Leclanché shares until the 2025 report is released.

Leclanché said discussions with a new strategic partner about additional funding and support are taking longer than expected. The company previously secured CHF 16.7 million (about $22 million) in financing to meet near‑term operational needs and appointed Jens Emrich, formerly of Li‑Cycle Europe, as CFO on March 1.

SER had not announced a decision on the latest extension request as of August 3.
