Swiss Federal Railways adds 20 extra trains for Zurich Street Parade
On Saturday, 8 August 2026, the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) will run 20 extra trains and add numerous reinforcement cars to transport thousands of visitors to and from the Street Parade in Zurich. The service includes additional night connections on both long‑distance and regional routes, with S‑Bahn and bus services in the Zurich transport network operating until 4 a.m.
Special ticket options are offered, such as the “City‑Ticket Zürich,” which covers round‑trip travel to Zurich HB and all ZVV public‑transport modes within zone 110 and remains valid until 5 a.m. the following day. SBB staff will be present at Zurich stations to guide passengers. Stefan Strässle, head of the Eastern Operations Centre, said, “For a large event like the Street Parade all the moving parts must work smoothly.”
