Swiss franc valued at 4.61 Polish złoty per unit

On 5 August 2026 the Swiss franc (CHF) was quoted at 4.611 złoty, and on 6 August 2026 at 4.612 złoty, according to Polish market data. The franc is the official currency of Switzerland and Liechtenstein and is overseen by the Swiss National Bank, which maintains its reputation as a stable, “safe‑haven” asset.

In Poland the franc is widely known because many borrowers took out mortgages denominated in CHF. After the 2008 financial crisis and a surge in the franc’s value, these loans became a source of hardship, leading to a wave of lawsuits that intensified after the European Commission’s 2022 regulation replaced the CHF‑LIBOR reference rate with SARON for EU financial contracts. The ongoing legal actions have resulted in several favorable settlements for Polish borrowers.
