Swiss hospitality and gastronomy receive major international awards

Six Senses Crans-Montana has been named the best resort in Europe for 2026 by the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards. The resort, which focuses on mindfulness, sustainability, and holistic well-being, also recently earned two MICHELIN Keys and ranked second in Europe in the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2026.

In Swiss gastronomy, Dominik Hartmann, co-owner and chef of the restaurant Magdalena in Rickenbach, has been named ‘Chef of the Year 2027’ by the GaultMillau Switzerland guide. Hartmann has operated a strictly vegetarian kitchen since 2022, earning 18 points from GaultMillau and two Michelin stars. The guide noted that his vegetable-based cuisine represents a successful model for high-end dining outside of major urban centers.
