Swiss Ice Hockey Federation reports profit and new board member
The Swiss Ice Hockey Federation (SIHF) concluded its 2025/26 fiscal year with a profit of 15,715 Swiss francs. During the general assembly held in Ittigen on October 12, 2026, members approved the annual accounts.
Operating income for the federation rose by approximately 3.1 million francs to a total of 36.187 million francs, though operating expenses also increased to 37.436 million francs. The fiscal year was unusually 13 months long due to a transition period. Increased revenue was attributed to additional contributions from Swiss Olympic, the Stiftung Sportförderung Schweiz, and the Federal Office of Sport, partly aimed at supporting women's ice hockey and projects related to the 2026 home World Championship.
Additionally, Nina von Siebenthal, a former professional golfer, was elected to the Board of Directors. She will represent competitive sports and brings expertise in sports sponsorship. Her appointment provides the National League and Swiss League with an additional voice on the board.
