Swiss musicians Maren Gamper and Shakra announce 2026 releases

Several musical releases are scheduled for 2026, featuring prominent Swiss artists across different genres.

Swiss-French pianist and theatre artist Maren Gamper will release her first solo album, ‘Erdenschwere’, via Carpe Diem Records Berlin. The album is an improvised musical reflection on the literary works of Swiss writer and poet Annemarie Schwarzenbach. Recorded on a 1919 Blüthner piano, the project explores themes of existential melancholy and inner conflict found in Schwarzenbach’s writing.

In the hard rock genre, the Swiss band Shakra is set to release a new album titled ‘Just Live Loud!’ through Frontiers Music srl. The band, featuring Mark Fox, Thom Blunier, Thomas Muster, Cyril Montavon, and Roger Tanner, returns with a high-energy production following their previous release three years ago.
