Swiss police address right-wing extremist incidents in Lausanne and Zurich

Recent incidents involving right-wing extremist activity have been reported in Lausanne and Zurich. In Lausanne, a group of approximately ten young men caused public alarm by performing Nazi salutes in the city center. Witnesses reported the group appeared aggressive and wore clothing featuring a white Swiss cross combined with a skull symbol. One individual wearing an antifascist T-shirt was reportedly attacked during the incident. Lausanne police confirmed the arrest of three individuals, aged 15, 16, and 19, on charges related to theft.

In Zurich, police arrested nine individuals associated with the extremist group ‘Junge Tat’. The group attempted to write slogans, such as ‘Family instead of gender ideology’, on the ground in front of the Zurich District Court using liquid chalk. The action took place immediately before a trial involving six members of the group. The suspects were subsequently penalized for property damage via summary penalty orders.
