EvoNext Holdings confirms advanced merger talks with Ascend Sport Technology

EvoNext Holdings SA has confirmed advanced discussions regarding a reverse merger with Ascend Sport Technology AG. The transaction aims to list Ascend on the SIX Swiss Exchange, with a projected valuation for current EvoNext shareholders of CHF 2.50 per share. Ascend is a profitable Swiss sports technology firm specializing in AI-enabled hardware and software for broadcasters and sponsors.

In the reinsurance sector, Swiss Re and Munich Re reported their half-year results. Swiss Re saw a 9% increase in group profit to $2.8 billion, supported by strong performance in life and health segments. Munich Re achieved a record profit of €3.9 billion for the first six months, though it adjusted its full-year insurance revenue outlook slightly lower.

Additionally, Marsh & McLennan reported quarterly revenue of $7.28 billion, a 6.2% increase year-over-year. While institutional investors have been increasing positions, analysts maintain a cautious consensus view with a target price of approximately $201.94.
