Swiss Recall of Kızılay Mineral Water Over Excess Boron

Swiss food‑safety authorities tested two Kızılay mineral water products imported from Turkey and found boron concentrations exceeding the limits set by Swiss regulations. On that basis, a mandatory market withdrawal and consumer recall was ordered. The officials instructed anyone who has purchased the affected batches not to drink the water and to return the bottles to the point of sale.

The recall applies only to the specific product batches examined in Switzerland; no similar action has been announced in Turkey. The decision follows earlier Swiss recalls of other Turkish brands, Beypazarı and Sırma, which were also removed from the market for the same boron‑contamination reason.
