Marlen Reusser clinches third Tour de Suisse Women title
Swiss rider Marlen Reusser (Movistar Team) secured her third overall victory at the 2026 Tour de Suisse Women by winning the decisive fifth stage in Villars‑sur‑Ollon. The high‑mountain stage featured two ascents of the Col de la Croix and a final climb to the finish, where Reusser finished ahead of Cédrine Kerbaol and Kasia Niewiadoma, sealing both the stage win and the yellow jersey.
Reusser entered the stage with a ten‑second lead, expanded it to over a minute on the final ascent, and finished the race with a cumulative time of 11:58:35, 1:31 ahead of Kerbaol and 2:02 ahead of Niewiadoma. Former leader Elisa Longo Borghini dropped out of the podium, falling to ninth. The victory follows a season in which Reusser recovered from multiple injuries, including a hand, shoulder and knee injury in February and a vertebral fracture later in the year, making the triumph a notable comeback.
The race concluded with the same podium order as the stage, confirming Reusser’s dominance on Swiss roads and marking her third Tour de Suisse Women title after previous wins in 2023 and 2025.
