Swiss singer Francine Jordi warns of climate‑driven changes in the Alps

She described the once‑white Alpine peaks as “almost grey” and noted persistent drought, a third consecutive heat wave, and early leaf‑fall as signs of a drying environment.

Jordi highlighted a rise in mountain rescue operations involving inexperienced hikers and urged greater respect for nature, saying people need to “listen and maybe change”. Her comments aim to raise public awareness of the accelerating climate impacts in the Swiss Alps.
