Swiss Super League sees Lugano beat Vaduz and Lausanne draw with Grasshopper Club

FC Vaduz fell 2-1 to league leaders FC Lugano at the AIL Arena. Lugano opened the scoring in the 29th minute through Antonios Papadopoulos and doubled the lead in the 37th minute via Lukas Mai. Vaduz pulled one back in the 71st minute after a combination by Dalipi, Sorgic and a skillful dribble, but a red card for defender Schaffran in the 80th minute sealed the defeat. The match was witnessed by about 6,950 spectators.

In a separate fixture, FC Lausanne‑Sport drew 1-1 with Grasshopper Club Zürich. Lausanne's first goal came from Ibrahim Bah Mendes in the 59th minute, his debut strike for the club. Grasshopper equalised shortly before full‑time, ending the game in a stalemate. Both teams exchanged chances but failed to find a winner after the late response.
