Swiss Universities ETH Zurich, EPFL and UZH Rank Among Top 100 in QS Global List
The latest QS World University Rankings place three Swiss institutions inside the top‑100. ETH Zurich slipped one spot to rank 8th worldwide, while EPFL held steady at 22nd. The University of Zurich moved up two positions to rank 98th. In total, Switzerland now has three universities among the global elite, with other Swiss schools ranging from the 150th to beyond the 1,200th place.
MIT retained its long‑standing first place, and the top‑ten is still dominated by Anglo‑Saxon universities, with the EPFZ (ETH Zurich) preceding Singapore’s National University. The modest changes in rank are described by QS as normal variations rather than indicators of quality decline.
