Switzerland and Liechtenstein plan to deepen police cooperation

Eva Wildi-Cortés, Director of the Swiss Federal Office of Police (fedpol), met with Liechtenstein Police Chief Jules Hoch in Vaduz to discuss strengthening law enforcement collaboration between the two nations.

The discussions focused on the long-standing police cooperation between Switzerland and Liechtenstein, as well as their shared interests as Schengen-associated states regarding Europol. Following a mandate from the Swiss Federal Council, officials are also examining ways to optimize the police cooperation centers located in Basel and Schaanwald.

During the visit, Wildi-Cortés also held a courtesy meeting with Liechtenstein Interior Minister Hubert Büchel.
