Switzerland builds underground luxury vaults in Brünig massif

In the Brünig massif near Lungern, Switzerland, the company Brünig Mega Safe AG is constructing an exclusive underground complex designed to store high-value assets for the world's wealthiest individuals. Located more than 100 meters below the surface, the facility aims to provide extreme security against armed attacks or global catastrophes.

The project involves the creation of 20 to 25 massive vaults intended for items such as fine art, precious metals, gold, cash, and classic cars. While drugs and explosives are strictly prohibited, the level of security is being compared to that of the Swiss National Bank. Access involves rigorous security protocols, including multiple checkpoints where visitors must exit their vehicles.

These underground chambers are treated legally as real estate, with usage rights established through 99-year leases that are recorded in the official land registry. Costs for these spaces are significant; a 20-square-meter cavern can cost over half a million Swiss francs. According to project initiator Tomas Gaser, interest in such secure storage is increasing due to rising geopolitical tensions and global instability.
