Switzerland completes major healthcare infrastructure projects

Switzerland has seen the completion of two major healthcare infrastructure projects. In Interlaken, Spital Interlaken has finished construction on House E, a new facility costing approximately 83 million Swiss francs. The project, which took five and a half years to complete while maintaining hospital operations, replaces older structures dating from 1905 to 1955. The new building nearly doubles the usable floor space and focuses on outpatient services, including therapies, clinics, and a new entrance with a cafeteria.

In the Canton of Vaud, a new health campus in Chavannes-près-Renens has officially opened following an investment of over 300 million Swiss francs. The complex includes the Coordinated Center for Clinical Competencies (C4), the Vaud School of Health (HESAV), and the Neostar student dormitory. The C4 serves as a collaborative ecosystem for the University Hospital CHUV, the University of Lausanne, HESAV, and the La Source Institute, providing advanced simulation-based learning environments to strengthen the region's position within the European Health Valley.
