Switzerland leads European central apartment prices
According to the ‘World Price Map 2026’ report by the Deutsche Bank Research Institute, Switzerland has become the most expensive location for central property ownership in Europe. Zurich leads with prices at 22,910 euro per square meter, followed by Geneva at 19,439 euro per square meter.
London ranks third at 17,241 euro per square meter, making it approximately 35% more expensive than Paris, which sits in fourth place at 12,771 euro per square meter. Other high-ranking cities include Vienna (12,483 euro), Munich (11,435 euro), and Luxembourg (11,011 euro).
In Central and Eastern Europe, Prague's central property prices of 8,352 euro per square meter exceed those in Madrid (7,831 euro) and Berlin (7,613 euro).
