Switzerland offers diverse mountain biking trails in Ascona-Locarno and St. Moritz
Switzerland offers diverse mountain biking opportunities across different alpine and lakeside regions. In the Ascona-Locarno region, the new Monti Motti Bike Trail provides a challenging experience. The route features a 14-kilometer asphalt ascent gaining approximately 900 meters in elevation, reaching a peak of 1,050 meters. This is followed by a technically demanding singletrack descent with views of Lago Maggiore. The circuit starts and ends at the Gordola railway station.
In the St. Moritz area, the Corviglia mountain offers a wide network of trails suitable for various skill levels. Riders can access different paths, including the Marmotta Flow Trail, Trais Flours, Olympia Flow Trail, and WM Flow Trail. The region allows cyclists to use mountain lifts to reach higher altitudes quickly, facilitating multiple descents in a single day. The terrain ranges from beginner-friendly flow trails to highly technical alpine routes set against the backdrop of the Upper Engadine lakes.
