SWR conducts regional broadcasting activities in Mainz and Lahr

The Südwestrundfunk (SWR) is conducting various regional activities in Germany. In Mainz, the SWR Funkhaus serves as the production hub for television and radio programs for Rhineland-Palatinate, housing one of Europe’s modern news infrastructures and the organization’s legal department.

Additionally, SWR will host a PopUp Studio in Lahr from November 2 to November 7, 2026. Located in a vacant storefront on Marktstraße, the studio will feature workshops for school classes focusing on media literacy, including topics such as fake news and artificial intelligence. The program includes appearances by various moderators, creators, and local figures.
