SXSW announces 2027 conference session results

South by Southwest (SXSW) has released the results of its PanelPicker process for the 2027 innovation, music, and film and TV conferences. The event is scheduled to take place from March 15 to March 21, 2027.

More than 3,300 proposals were submitted for consideration, resulting in over 325 selected sessions. The most popular topics identified by prospective speaker submissions include Tech and AI, Workplace, Brand and Marketing, Health, and the Creator Economy.

According to SVP of programming Greg Rosenbaum, the submissions indicate a shift from theoretical hype regarding artificial intelligence toward a more pragmatic era focused on how the technology integrates into daily and creative life. Additionally, topics concerning trust, transparency, and authentic human connection emerged as significant themes among the community submissions.
