Syaiful Bahri, West Sumatra Culture Office Head, passes away

Syaiful Bahri, the Head of the West Sumatra Provincial Culture Office, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026. He died at approximately 04:00 WIB at RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang at the age of 59.

West Sumatra Governor Mahyeldi Ansharullah expressed deep condolences, describing Bahri as a dedicated official who served with high commitment. Mahyeldi noted a long-standing professional relationship with Bahri, dating back to his tenure as the Mayor of Padang, during which he frequently entrusted Bahri with various responsibilities and positions.
