Sydney 2027 Netball World Cup sets 200,000 attendance goal

Organisers of the 2027 Netball World Cup in Sydney have announced an ambitious goal to attract more than 200,000 attendees across 64 matches. If achieved, this would make the tournament the most attended edition in the history of the event.

To mark the one-year countdown to the competition, a floating netball court was displayed on Sydney Harbour. The announcement event included stakeholders from Netball Australia and World Netball, as well as government officials. The Australian Federal Government has committed $6 million toward the tournament.
