Sydney Bondi Beach terror attack death toll rises to 16

The death toll from the December 14, 2025, terror attack at a Hanukkah celebration in Sydney’s Bondi Beach has risen to 16 following the death of 90-year-old survivor Eva Geller.

Mrs. Geller died in a hospital in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs after suffering complications from injuries sustained during the shooting. Reports indicate that after receiving treatment for gunshot wounds, she developed an infection and subsequently suffered a stroke. Her family considers her death a direct consequence of the attack.

The original massacre, which targeted the Jewish community at Archer Park, was carried out by a father and his 24-year-old son. The older attacker was killed by police at the scene, while his son, Naveed Akram, was wounded and arrested. He remains charged with murder and terrorism offenses. The initial attack killed 15 people, including a 10-year-old girl.
