Sydney Marathon Abbott World Marathon Majors Nike After Dark Tour marathon ballot running events

The global ballot for the TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS is now open, offering runners the chance to participate in Australia’s newest Abbott World Marathon Major. The registration window for the event remains open until 11:59 pm AEST on 19 October. The race course is set to feature the Sydney Harbour Bridge and will conclude at the Sydney Opera House Forecourt.

In separate running news, the Nike After Dark Tour returned to Sydney for its second year on 27 September. The sold-out event saw over 7,500 runners participate in a 21.1-kilometer half marathon through the city. Starting at Rozelle Parklands and finishing at Tumbalong Park, the event featured music, lighting installations, and on-course activations to transform the nighttime running experience.
