Sydney Kings defeat Illawarra Hawks in NBL derby

The Sydney Kings secured a dominant 108-82 victory over the Illawarra Hawks in a New South Wales derby at the WIN Entertainment Centre. The win was highlighted by a breakout performance from import big man Andrew Carr, who recorded a double-double with 16 points and 20 rebounds. Star point guard Kendric Davis also contributed significantly, scoring 23 points and providing 14 assists.

Following the loss, Hawks coach Justin Tatum noted that his team struggled with turnovers and excessive 'iso ball' against the Kings' defensive intensity. The Hawks are currently looking to fill an import spot following the early departure of Darius Days. Tatum stated the team is working daily to find a replacement to help stabilize their season.
