Sydney Malakeh cast as Sydney DiMera in Days of Our Lives

The soap opera ‘Days of Our Lives’ has confirmed that actress Sydney Malakeh will portray the character Sydney DiMera. Malakeh is scheduled to make her debut in Salem on September 9.

Sydney DiMera is the daughter of legacy characters Sami Brady and EJ DiMera. The character, an attorney who has been living in Italy, is expected to bring significant drama to the show due to her connections to the Brady and DiMera families. Malakeh described the character as a ‘firecracker’ and a ‘powerhouse’ who possesses qualities of both her parents.

The role has a complex history within the series, previously involving various child actors and a notable storyline involving a baby swap. While Malakeh will not be joined by the character’s mother, Sami Brady, in the immediate storyline, Sami is expected to return to the show in June 2027.
