Sydney Man Charged in Murder of OneFour Affiliate Alai Ahio
A 23‑year‑old man was arrested at Sydney International Airport on Saturday evening and charged with the murder of Alai Ahio, a 28‑year‑old linked to the western Sydney rap group OneFour. Ahio was shot during a home invasion on May 19, 2026, at a residence in Canley Heights, and later died at Liverpool Hospital. Four other men were injured in the attack but survived.
Police allege the shooting was connected to organised crime. After the arrest, detectives seized multiple electronic devices and 10 grams of cocaine during a raid on a house on Church Street in Moorebank. The suspect has been charged with murder and two counts of possessing an unauthorised pistol, was refused bail, and is slated to appear in Parramatta Local Court on 17 September. He was taken from the airport departures terminal to Mascot Police Station after his arrest.
