Sydney pastor and family targeted in home attack
Pastor Andrew Sedra and his family were targeted in an attack at their home in Cobbitty, southwest of Sydney, on September 3. Sedra, who leads Echo Church, reported that four activists, including two hooded individuals, arrived at the residence after the family's address was leaked online.
The group allegedly cut the electricity to the home, attempted to break in, and issued death threats against multiple family members, including a newborn baby. The family reported that the individuals knew their names and threatened to be at their doorstep every night.
NSW Police responded to the disturbance and issued move-on directions to three people. A 39-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly failing to comply with these directions and was subsequently taken to Narellan Police Station and later admitted to a hospital for assessment. Detectives are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the property. Due to ongoing threats over the past year, the Sedra family is considering relocating for their safety.
