Sydney police investigate shooting and stabbing of minors

Police in Sydney are investigating two separate violent incidents involving minors.

In Norwest, an 11-year-old boy is in critical condition after sustaining severe gunshot wounds to his face and neck at a residence. Three 18-year-old men were apprehended at the scene. While authorities have secured the area for forensic examination, they are currently downplaying any direct links to organized crime.

In Sydney’s southwest, a 17-year-old boy is in serious but stable condition at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital following a stabbing. The victim was reportedly attacked inside a public toilet block at Beaman Park in Earlwood before fleeing to a nearby residence for help. Police stated the teenager is not currently cooperating with investigators, and the identity of the assailant remains unknown.
