Sydney property market sees strong auction results
Sydney's property market showed strength during recent weekend auctions, with several homes selling significantly above their reserve prices. In Petersham, a three-bedroom home on Brighton Street sold for $2,461,000, exceeding its $2.2 million reserve by more than $260,000.
In Paddington, a one-bedroom apartment at Gordon Street sold for $1.48 million, which was $180,000 above the reserve price. Sales agent Frederico Fraga-Matos noted that buyers appear to be gaining confidence in the current economic environment, despite previous interest rate increases.
The properties were part of a larger wave of 532 scheduled auctions in Sydney for the week.
