Sydney ranked as world’s third most beautiful summer city
Sydney has been ranked as the world’s third most beautiful summer city according to an eye-tracking study of 63 global cities commissioned by Premier Inn. The study measured how quickly summer images of various locations captured participants’ attention and how long they held their gaze.
Banff, Canada, took the top position, followed by Mykonos, Greece, in second place. Sydney secured third with a score of 85, driven by its iconic waterfront skyline, including the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and beaches such as Bondi and Manly.
Other notable cities in the top 10 include Bruges, Belgium; Bristol, UK; Palma de Mallorca, Spain; Kyoto, Japan; Kotor, Montenegro; Auckland, New Zealand; and Los Angeles, USA. The findings highlight the visual appeal of waterfront landscapes and historic urban areas for global travelers.
