Sydney Roosters academy produces multiple NRL stars

The Sydney Roosters' academy program is successfully producing professional talent for the NRL. A group of players who progressed through the academy together—Siua Wong, Robert Toia, Salesi Foketi, and Benaiah Ioelu—are now playing key roles as the club enters its semi-finals campaign.

Established in 2021 following inspiration from Barcelona FC's facilities, the program was engineered by chairman Nick Politis and coach Trent Robinson. It is led by club veterans Mitchell Aubusson and Jake Friend. The academy's success is further evidenced by other homegrown players like Hugo Savala, Victor Radley, and Billy Smith appearing in the lineup for the club's upcoming clash against the Penrith Panthers.
