Sydney Roosters emerge as strong NRL title contenders

The Sydney Roosters are emerging as strong title contenders in the NRL following a significant comeback victory against the Canterbury Bulldogs. Despite trailing 18-8 with 20 minutes remaining, the Roosters managed to secure a win, marking their fifth notable late-game revival this season.

Coach Trent Robinson noted the squad's composure during high-pressure periods, stating, “They’re pretty calm in the last 20 minutes... They work out, ‘Are we up by 10, down by 10, what do we need to do?’ Rather than playing the end of the game going, ‘Oh God, [what] if we lose?’”

The roster features several players in career-best form, including Hugo Savala, Rob Toia, Salesi Foketi, and Siua Wong. Established players such as James Tedesco and Sam Walker continue to provide veteran leadership and playmaking ability as the team pushes toward a potential premiership.
