Sydney Roosters win NRL premiership over Newcastle Knights

The Sydney Roosters secured the NRL premiership with a 19-18 victory over the Newcastle Knights at Accor Stadium. Roosters captain James Tedesco was awarded the Clive Churchill Medal as man of the match following a dominant performance that included 305 meters from 25 carries.

For the Newcastle Knights, the match marked their first Grand Final appearance in 25 years. Despite a resilient effort from players like Dane Gagai and Kalyn Ponga, the Knights fell just short of the title. The victory for the Roosters allows Tedesco to achieve his goal of winning a premiership as captain, completing a career resume that includes multiple major accolades.
