Sydney skyline undergoes major high-rise expansion

Sydney is experiencing a significant surge in skyscraper development. The Atlassian tower, recognized as the world’s tallest hybrid timber structure, recently reached its 39-storey peak during a topping out ceremony.

Further expansion is planned with the approval of Castlereagh Place, which will consist of two 82-storey towers near Hyde Park. Additionally, new plans have been unveiled for a 26-storey tower situated above the heritage-listed Sherbourne Hotel overlooking Darling Harbour.

These developments come amid discussions regarding the city's skyline and the potential impact of high-rise congestion on Sydney’s traditional architectural contour and topography.
