Sydney Swans defeat GWS Giants in AFLW Sydney derby

The Sydney Swans AFLW team defeated the GWS Giants by 31 points in the Sydney derby at Henson Park, securing a 13. 9 (87) to 8. 8 (56) victory. The match drew a record crowd of 7,340 spectators for the venue.

Chloe Molloy led the Swans' performance, contributing four goals. However, the victory was tempered by an injury to Sofia Hurley, who was stretchered off the field in the final quarter due to an ankle injury. Despite the injury, coach Colin O’Riordan noted that Hurley remained in good spirits.
