Sydney Sweeney to star in and produce Gothic horror film Hollow

Sydney Sweeney will star in and produce the upcoming Sony film ‘Hollow’, a Gothic horror adaptation of the Sleepy Hollow legend. The project marks a significant milestone as the first major feature announced by Sweeney’s production company, Honey Trap, which is co-producing alongside Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment and Lindsey Anderson Beer’s Lab Brew.

In a departure from traditional versions of the tale, the film will center on the perspective of Katrina Van Tassel, played by Sweeney. Belmont Cameli has joined the cast to portray Brom Bones, while the role of Ichabod Crane remains uncast. The film is based on a new adaptation written by Lindsey Anderson Beer, who is also directing and producing. Beer is adapting her own debut novel of the same name, which is scheduled for publication in 2027.

The announcement follows recent scrutiny regarding a sports prediction market advertisement featuring Sweeney, which some viewers criticized for its presentation.
